The idea proved profitable for the club, the funds of which benefitted to the extent of £4 8a (less cost of clays) for entrance money The day was opened by a threebird swcep3tak£3, fur whu'h th:re were 14 competitors. C. McCormick and J. Fausett divided with three first-barrel birds. There were also 14 competitors for the "limes" prize, ''nis was trade a 15 bird mitch, 3s nomination, 3s second, with Is "stir" on eaiii nomination. W, McNally, 14yds, wm with 11 birds on liis first nomination. Other results were:—J. Wright, 17, 13 birds; F. Mculdey 15, Fivac 12, J. Bhke 10, 12 each; Vujucich 13, Gardner 12, 11 each; J. Faujfctt 17, Johns ard Daysh 14, J. Reynolds 13, S. Fitness 12, 10 each; C. McCormick 11, 9 birds; H. McGougli, 10, 8 birds. There were thirteen second nominations, but all of these competitors ictired before twelve i-hots had been lired, It being then found impossible to equal McNally's seoie A final six-lird swuepßtakea was won by Wright with 5 birds. On Saturday next Mr J. Walsh's trophy will be shot for.
