N.Z. LOAN AND MERCANTILE AGENCY CO. At i'ukekohe yards on Monday we held a special dairy cow sale, when 165 cows and heifers were yarded ard rrct with a ready sale. Best cowo close to profit, sol.l at from £lO to £ll 15s, others £S 10s to £1) lOi; cows to calve July and August, £5 to £7 10s; heit>rs, £3 10s to £7 10s; aged cowk, £2 10s to £4 10?. At Pukekohe yards on Tuesday we held our usual, monthly sale of store cattle. There was a good varding for the time of year, all classes being well represented. l'rices were higher than late sales. Three to four year old steers sold at trom £7 2s to £cS ss: two to three year old steer?, £5 to £G 10s; yearling to IS-months steers. £3 10s to £4 15?; good stetr calves, £2 7s to £2 15s; hrifers, £2 t) £2 lis; other mixed sexts, 20s to IJSs; empty cows and heifcra, £2 10s to £4 ISs; bulls, £4 to £7 10s. Beef, of which 111) head were yarded, sold at fully Westtield rates. BUCKIAND AND SONS.
We held our monthly sale at Waiuku on Saturday. There was a fair attendance, and practically everything changed hands at satisfactory price?. Pig? came forward j in large numbers. Baconera sold at ; late rates, hut porkers were easier.
