YOUTH IN TROUBLE.
Alleged Theft and Forgery.
On Tuesday afternoon a nineteen year old jouth named William Robinson, of Patumahoe, was arreste.i by Constable Watson. Robinson was charged with breaking und entering the dwelling of a neighbour, .1. McCann, and stealing therefrom a cheque of the value of .£22. Accused was also eharged with forging a cheque by making a material addition thereto. This addition was tho writing of McCatn's name n» an endorsement which accused claimed to he his own signature. The cheque was trom the New Zealand Dairy Association and it is alleged tint after stealing it tho accused took the document to tho I'ukekohe hot I where it was cashed. It is understood thai over £2O of the money was recovered and that accused's parents made up the missing sum which had been spent. Robinson was brought before Mr F. Perkins, .1.1'., on 'luesdsy, when he was remanded until Monday next, iail being allowed in the sum of £. r >o in his own recognisance ami a Burety of £SO.
