TUAKAU.

VEHICULAR ACCIDENT. Mr J. J. Madill met with a very nasty accident ou Saturday owing to the front gear of his buggy breaking away while drivirg down hill on River road, near the church. Mr Madill was driving his ponies at a good rate at the time and when ths vehicle broke down he pluckily held on to the reins, with the result that tne back wheel passed over his ankle, fracturing it. The sufferer was removed to ths Auckland hospital on the 13.45 train. Mr Madill is a single man? about ol years of age.
