EUCHRE AND DANCE,

The second of a series of euchre parties was held in the ball on Wednesday evening. The weather being all that could be desired there was a large attendanca. Three ladies, Misses 1. Mackenzie, 0. Stewart and P. Wardell, tied for first prize, Miss Wardell eventually proving the winner. For the gentleman's prize Mr Rowley and Mr Whitford tied, Mr Rowley winning it in the play-off. The catering was in the hands of Mr Rugg, and was as usual in first-class style. Messrs Barker and Forbes provided tha music, which was excellent, quite a number enjoying the dancing till early morning.
