At a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce last night, to which shopkeepers were invited, it was decided to again ask the business people to sign a petition a.-kiog that the hour for closing shops in Fukekuhc be garitted as 0* o'clock. The I'ukckohe Ladied' Hockey Club held a practice game en Saturday when sides were chosen by Mrs Kishtoo and Miss Black, tho former winning by one goal to nil. The membership of the .club is steadily increasing, and great keenness is being evinced by the members.
