HILL 24 v. CITY 9. Tin first mulch of the l'ukekoho llugby Union's competition was played on the Fukekohe Domain on Saturday, when Hill acd City met. Hill attacked from the kick-off and City had to accept two force downs. Lamort made a good opening fur the Hill by passing to Rogers where a good chance was spoilt by not transferring to Leighton. From a loose scrum Hill forward', headed by Boaao and Moffitt, broke away and Moffitt finished the movement by scoring. Wilson's kick failed. Hill 3, City 0.

O'Neill and Adams were promi* nent in a City attack, but Hill Boon rallied and Scott, picking up, scored an easy try. Wilson converted. Hill 8, City 0. On resuming Lamout secured possession, put io a short run, punted high, followed up, regained possession and scored a good try. Taking the kick himself he added the major points. Hill 13, City 0.

In the second quarter Hill started attacking and Bilkey spoilt a good rush by hanging on too long. City forwards responded and Adams made an excellent eifort to pot a goal. On Saturday, May 23rd, our footballers had a diy off f.om tho Union matches, so the juniors challenged the seniors to n match for a dinner at the boarding house, the jutiiors play ion 16 and seniors 12. Mr A. Cornthwaite had charge of the whistle. After n very exciting game the seniors came off victors by 24 to 20. On Saturday City and Mauku meet, the seniors at Patumahoa and tho juniors at Fukekohe. Hill seniors and juniors ara to play a practice game at Pukckohe.
