MERCER TOWN BOARD.
"He nothihg extenuate, nor let down, auaht in malif.e"
With the merging of the Mercer Road Board into the Franklin county the residents of Mercer are considering the advisableness of forming a town district for Mercer. This is certainly a step in the right direction, as no township within a county can hope to make the same progress under county supervision as it would be likely to do if under its own jurisdiction. A meeting of householders is to he held on Thursday evening, May •_' 1 st, to go further iuto the matter.
