Mcl'herson was in the chair. , The report and balance sheet for the year just closed, showing a satis- ' factory slate of affairs, was adopted. The balance sheet showed a good ■ credit balance of over £l6. Several important matters werebrought before the meeting, the principal items being the merging of the Road Board into the County Council, the shifting of the joodsshed at the station, and the Road Board. In reganl to the merging of the 1 Board a good deal of talk was | indulged in. and on the motion being put to the meeting for the Board to merge the vota resulted; j For merging ;!, against merging 10, It was decided to get up petitions against the removal of the goodsThe Road Board matters were held over to the annual meeting of the Road Board, which is to be , held very soon, and which gives every promise of being a lively meeting of ratepayers.
