WEDDING.
Potter—Myles. The Ngaruawahia "Advocate" writes:—"A very popular and interesting wedding was solemnised on Wednesday, April 22nd, at the Roman Catholic Church, Ngaruawahia, the contracting parties being Mr L. C. A. Potter, of Ngaruawahia and Pukekohe, youngest son of Mr J. J. Potter, Auckland, and Miss Annie, daughter of Mr and Mrs E. Myieß, of thin town. The ceremony was performed by the Kev. Father Edge, before a large gathering of guests and friends, including many old residents of Ngaruawahia and district. "Ihe bride, who was given away by her father, presented an exceedingly dainty appearance in a handsoma draped robe, with fantail train, made of pearl white silk crepe, trimmed with rich silk lace and pearl?. She also wore a veil and wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful ivory bound prayer book. By the express wish of the donor, uncle to the bride, and residing in England, the bride also wore a fine gold bangle. Miss Hilda Myles, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid. She was attired in a three tier creme silk dress, overlaid with guipure lace, with a copper shaded, sash, and carried a beautiful bouquet of chrysanthemums of the same shade. Mr B. McElwain, of Auckland, acted in the capacity of best man. "The bridegroom presented the bride with a beautiful dressing case, containing toilet set heavily mounted in silver, and also made a similar present to the bridesmaid. The bride's present to the bridegroom was a pair of gold sleeve links. "After the ceremony, the bridal party and guests repaired to the Delta Hotel, were mine hosts, Mr and Mrs E. Crosby, had prepared a sumptuous wedding breakfast, which was done ample justice to by fully ninety guests. The tables were tastefully decorated with vases of ; flowers, etc., quite in keepirg with ' the occasion. The usual toasts and speeches were given in a most hearty manner. Mr T. Paterson, aenr., pro- ! posed the health of the bride and bridegroom, which was suitably ' responded to by the latter. The ] toast of the bridesmaid was proposed i by Mr J. Jackman, and responded to by Mr H. McElwain. Mr 8. < Shepherd proposed the health of the i parents, which was responded to by i Mr J. J. Potter. The toasts of the ] hcst and hostess were also duly < honoured. t
"The party afterwards repaired to the noire of the bride's parents, where the numerous and costly presents were viewed. A sheaf of congratulatory telegrams was received.
"The happy couple travelled by motor to Cambridge, and will spend their honeymoon on a trip to Thames and Auckland, ultimately returning to their residence at Pukekohe."
Mr and Mrs Potter returned to Pukekohe on Wednesday.
