Rev. G. Frost Welcomed.

Sunday School Social.

A combined social to welcome the Rev. G. Frost and Mrs Frost to this charge and to celebrate the Sunday School Anniversary was held in the Pukekohe .Methodist Church on Tuesday evening, April 21st. The Senior Circuit Steward (Mr Pilkington) presided over the first part of the meeting and in the course of his remarks extended to the Rev. G. Frost, Mrs Frost and daughter a hearty welcome to Pukekohe and the Circuit. He trusted that whilst resident here they would enjoy abundant, health, that their stay would be a nappy one and that Mr Frost's labours would bo richly blessed. They looked forward with hope and confidence to the future believing that good work would be accomplished. Warm words of welcome were also spoken by Mr T. G. Usher (ex-Senior Steward), Mr F. Souster (newly appointed Circuit Steward), Rev. F. B. Dobson, Mr E. Stevenson, Rev. S. Nixon and Mr Jos. Hunter.

The Row 0. Frost replied in appreciatory and kindly terms after which ho assumed the chair and prosidod over the anniversary meeting which immediately followed. The Sunday School treasurer's report rovealed a credit balanco of £4.

The superiutendout reported that the number on the roll remained as last year and that tho attendance and discipline was very satisfactory. The fact that 3D prizes were awardod amongst 44 scholars was evidence of tho excellent attendance, lessons and conduct. Graco Comrio made perfect marks, i.e., 100 per cent., and was awarded a special prize presented by Mrs C. 11. Mee. A programme of hymns, recitations and songs was capitally rendered by the scholars, and songs were also contributed by Mrs Curnow, Mrs Pilkington and Mr Ashurst. Refreshments were supplied by the ladies who were heartily thanked at the close, as also was Mr Ashurst for finishing tho work of training tho scholars.
