I had fully intended,'after 13 years of municipal activity, to take a rest, but will accede to your request. In placing myself in the hands of yourselves and the other burgesses you may feel assured that if elected I should consider it my duty to consult the best interest of the whole Borough, and not any particular part of it. I need hardly add that I have no axe to grind, and shall be quite independent of party. PAPAKURA TOWN DISTRICT. (The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913) PROPOSED LOAN OF £IO,OOO FOR WATER SUPPLY. The Papakura Town Board hereby gives notice in pursuance of Section 9 of the above mentioned Act. 1. THAT the purpose for which the proposed loan is required is the obtaining of a water supply for the Papakura Town District. 2. THAT the Papakura Town Board being unable to provide the necessary funds for such works out of its ordinary revenue, proposes to borrow a sum not exceeding £IO,OOO. 3. THAT the proposed security for the repayment of such loan shall be the waterworks with all lauds, buildings and plant connected therewith and the revenues ro be derived therefrom together with a special rate of 1 ;i-Hd i n the £on all rateable property m the district,, 4. THAT the Board proposes to nnke such loan repayable within '2l years fromjhe dato it is borrowed and proposes to make provisions for a sinking fund at the rate of \ per cent per annum. 5. THAT tho Board proposes to pay out of the loan such costs, charges and expenses as the Board may determine to have been actually incurred -in connection with such loa>\ and the interest and sinking fund on the loan for tho lirst year Dated the 7th day of April, 1914.
