BOMBAY.

FARMERS' UNION. Tbe annual meeting of the Bombay branch of the Farmers' Union was held in the Bombay hall on Saturday evening, 11th April. Mr Thomas, president, waa in the chair. the secretary, Mr Webster, r*ad the report and balance sheet. The report showed that 72 members were on the roll, an increase of 26 during tin year which was considered satisfactory. The balance sheet showed a credit balance of £23 15s 9d. On the motion of the chairman, seconded by Mr H. Sawyer, the statement of accounts was adopted. The whole of the officials were unanimously re-elected. The secretary read letters re the annual conference to be held in Auckland next month; also one notifying the branch that Csptain Colbeck would be at Bombay on Friday evening, April 17th. LAWN TENNIS.

On Easter Monday a match was played on the Bombay courts between Bombay and Ouewa (Northcote) and resulted in an easy win for the Bombayites. Bombay players mentioned first. Ladies' singles—Miss J.
