N.Z. LOAN AND MERCANTILE AGENCY CO. At the Pukekohe Yards on Tuesday tl.ere was a full yarding of stock of all descriptions. Competition for dairy tows was extra keen, but other lines were neglected. Dairy cows close to profit sold at from £8 ti £9 17s 6d, others £5 to £7 17s tid. Grown steers sold to £6 10s; two to three-year-old steers, £4 17s to £5 15s: yearling to twc-year-old steer?, £3 5s to £4 15s; calves, best, 30s to 38?, ethers 20s to 28s; empty cows, £2 18s to £4 4s; heifers, £2 10s to £3 18s; bulls, £3 to £7 ss. Eighty-r,ine head of Beef sold at fully Westheld rates.
BUCKLAND AND SONS. Un Monday, at Mercer, we held a dealing tale in the estate of Mr S. Hunter (deceased), buyers were numerous, and high values rultd. The best dairy cows sold at from £8 5s to £lB, others £4 153 to £7 ss, the herd averaging £8 15s; bull, £8 7s 6d; 18-month hdfers, £4 7s 6d to £5 10s; calves, 20s to 31s; farm horses, £27 10s to £29 10s; light harness gelding, £l6; M.H. drill, £2B; Cambridge roller, £ls 15s; disc harrows, £7 13j. The sundries, etc., sold to full values. We held our usual monthly sale in the Waiuku yards on Saturday, February 7th," and had a large yarding cf fctock, every pen and yard being utilised. Calve?, of which there was a very large entry, were easier than at last month ? sab.
