WEDDING.
Holmes—Penrhys-Evans.
Bombay waa en fete on Wednesday last on the occasion of the wedding of Mr Andy Holmes, the third son of Mr Holmcj, the well-known farmer of Rama Rama, to Miss Alba Penrhys-Evanß, the second daughter of Mr Penrhvs-Evans, the equally well-known settler of Kazorback.
As the parents ot both bride and bridegroom had lived for many years in the district, and both the' bride and bridegroom had been boin in the district, their many frienda were anxious to do them honour on the occasion of their wedding. By two o'clock, the hour fixed for the ceremony, St. Peter's Church was full of friendi and well-wisheis.
The bride was Riven away by her father. The chief bridesmaid wag Miss Queenie Penrhyg-Evans, the second being Miss Naomi PenrhysKvans. Mr Livingstone was best man and the groomsman was Mr Hamilton. Mr Errksen presided at the organ. In the absence of the Rev. E. H. Wyatt (at the installation of the Bishop) the Rev. F. B. Dobson was the officiating minister. After the ceremony more than fifty wedding guests sat down to a sumptuous breakfast at the residence of Mr Penrhys-Evans, at Razorbsck. The health cf the biide and bridegroom waa proposed by the Rev. F. H. lJobßon, who spoke of having known the happy couple for so many yearn and on behalf of their many friends he wished them every success and prosperity in the future. The bridegroom suitably responded and in turn proposed the health of the bridesmaid*, to which the best man responded Dr Bronte, in a very happy speech, proposed the health of Mr and Mrs Pcnrhys-Evans, the host and hostess. All the toaila were drunk with musical honours 'and cheers.
In the evening there was a much largei leathering 0 j friends who, unable to get away in the day time, thoroughly enjoyed the wedding dance and festivities. Mr and Mrs Holmen arc making their home in Hamilton, where the bridegroom ia in business as a lard and commission agent.
