MILITARY SPORTS.
Mounted Scouts' Competitions. The Nos. 3 and 4 Troops (Pukekohe) of the C. Squadron, 3rd Regiment, M.R., met at Helvetia Ostrich Farm on Thursday, sth February, to compete for the Graham Cup (by fours) and the Na'han Cup (by single files). The Adjutant, Captain F. A. Wood, Reeimental-Sergeant-Majur Beete, V.C.S., and Sergeant-Major Milne were present to assist the lo:al officers, Captain F. C. Schofield, 0.C., and Captain A. E. Wilkinson.
The Graham Cup was won by Sergeant U. C. Leighton's four, cornprising Privates W. H. Adam<«, A. Bilkey and H. ('. Bilkey. with Sergeant Leighton in change. The scors wes 200 points. LanceCorporal R. four were second with 194 points, ard LaticeCorporal L. Harper's four was third with 162 points.
Private V. A. Rogers proved to be the winner of the Nathan Cup with a Ecore of . 1 28 points, Sergeant G. Leighton and Private W. H. Adams were equal for second place with 125 points each, Lance-corporal B. Schlaepfer was fourth with 119 points. The cst'ich farm is an ideal place for these competitions, and the squadron is indebted to Mr Schlaepfer for his kind permisson to UEe the farm for this purpes', as in past years. The officers gave four medals for the Graham Cup winners, and Sergeant W. T. Haeata gives a medal for the Nathan Cup winner.
