On Thursday the Pukekohe Club paid their annual visit to Otahuhu. Th 9 Pukekohe Club always look forward to this outing, and the many kindnesses shown and the "right royal hospitality" displayed by the Otahuhu Club on Thursday made the tip mo t enjoyable. It was thercfoie all the more disappointing that the weather shoold have beeu so unpropitous Uron arriving a drizzle whs falling, but this cleared away and at ihe starting iif the maU'h the weather was perfect. Unfortunately, after lunch a very heavy gale sprang up which not only spoilt the tennis hut with the clouds of Eand tlown across the courts made it very unpleasant for all the players. In the morning some very good tennis was seen acd many of the gam;s were remarkably close.
In the men's singles honours were even, but in the doubles Otahuhu were the stronger. In the ladies' singles Miss Leighton was the only one to win her match, but Miss Bilkey and Mis 3 Tresiddci were beatan by very narrow .margins.
