STOCK SALES.
ALFRED BUCKLAND AND SONS. There was a full yarding of both cattle and sheep at Ctevedon on Saturday, January 17th, and practically the whole offering changed owners. Springers £5 to £6 10s* empty cows £2 8s to £3 lis, small fat hcifen £4 10s to £5 ss, nice conditioned two-year-old steers £5 108, calves £1 Is to £1 15?, small fat wethers 14s to 15s 6d, ewes lis to 14s, lambs 9s to 14s. A number of gate?, a quantity of timber,etc., on account of Clevedon Agricultural and Pastoral Association sold at full values.
We held our usual monthly sales at Pokeno on Monday, 19th, and Runciman, Tuesday, 20th, and at both sales had large yardings. Dairy cows sold at from £5 10s to £9 10s, aged and inferior £3 to £5, empty cowa £2 5s to £3 17s, tat cows £5 5s to £B, forward conditioned three in *"nr-vear-old steers £7 to £9 ss, less conditio... J f 15s to £6 10s, 18-months t> t---year-olds £t to £4 17s, yearlings £2 10s to £3 10s, 18-month heifers £3 3s to £4 3s, best calves £1 13s to £1 16s, good £1 8s to £1 12s, others 163 to £1 33, heavy bulla £7 to £lO, others £3 10s to £6 10s. At Waiuku yard J on Saturday we held our usual monthly sale. There was a smaller yarding than [usual, and prices were the same as late rates. Dairy cows sold at £5 15s to £6 10s, empty cows £2 10s to £4 Is, calves 15s to 355, two to three-year-old steers £5 to £6 10s, bulls £3 to £8 12s 6d. Pigs: Weaners 8s to 12s 6d.
