CRICKET.
Manukau Association. A meeting of the Manukau Cricket Association waa held in the Paturmhoc hotel on Saturday, 17th inst., when the following delegates were present:-Waiuku, Messrs Dromgool and Oabome; Mauku, Messrs Finlay andPlcydell; Pukekohe, Mr W. Cutbbert. The president, Mr E. C. Cuff, and Ih6 secretary, Mr W. Finlay, were also present. A letter waa read from the secretary uf the South Auckland Cricket Association wishing to know if this Association would affiliate with them. The letter stated that hi it was proposed to play the Auattaliana at Hamilton on Februaiy 3rd and 4th, the Waikato Asieciatlan could do with some Manukau men, notaoly Ktmp, Aldrod and Dr Huwden. If the Asaociation would not jo|Bt was asked if the Mauku Club woord, so as to make Kemp eligible. Considerable discussion took place regarding the proposal to affiliate! some considering that it waa no o9i
paying (he .'iOa necessary to join when individual clubs could join for ss. It was also considered that there would bo no hope of playing association matches as mctnbcri could not attend. %

Cuthbert seconded, Thut the Manukau Association affiliate with the South Auckland AaiocmiionJ This was lost on the casting void of the chairman. i Tbe Waiuku and Miftiku delegatci agreed to join on behalf of theii respective club?. Tho lecretarv, Mr W. Finl*y, complained that secretaries bad not sent in any records of the matchei played or any particulars to enablt him to make a statement as to ho* the winners and rounds atood. Matches still to be played to com plete the firrt and second round February 28, MHuku v. Waiuku at Mauku. <•> March 14th, Waiuku v. Mauku at Waiuku.
