AKA AKA DRAINAGE BOARD
The monthly meeting of the Aka Aka Drainage Board was held in Waiuku on Saturday, 10th insL, when the following members were present: -Messrs Hull (chairman), Walters, Bent, Hudson and the clerk (Mr W. J. King). It was arranged that members of the Board meet at Mr Hudson's bridge on Mwnda;, I'Jth inst., to loaned the creek and Eastern drain with a view to ascertaining what work would be required. Tho idea is to deepen the drain from the (inisb of Powell's contract to the metalled road. Mr Hudson reported thai the Western drain was getting very bad with lily and lie thought; it i wnuld be well to call lend' rs lor I the usual cleanup of drams. It was expected thai nil the ! Eastern drain (less Neil's frontage, ■ MeCarty's, Hills and reserve), the I Western drain (from the creamery | up) and the Mawhitiwhiti, half mi'e I to Eastern drain and Henry's dtam, would need attention.
