DRURY.

A MARSIA.GE FEAST

A very pretty wedding took place at tho residence of (lie bride's parents on the olst ult., the contracting parties being Miss Mary Appleby, fourth (laughter of, Mr and Mrs C. Appleby, and Mr Harry Dale, of Pukekohe.

The nuptial knot was tied by the Rev, Mr Madill. Misses Annie and Doris Appleby, sisters of the bride, noted as bridesmaids, and Mr W. Dale ably fulfilled the duties of best man. After the ceremony about one hundred guests sat down to a sumptuous wedding breakfast to which all did ample justice. The bride having cut the very handsome wedding cake, Mr Madill in an appropriate as well a3 a humorous speech proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom which was drunk with enthusiasm and musical honours. The bridegroom, responding feelingly, thanked the company for the hearty manner in which the toast had been received and for the many kind sentiments and good wishes expressed. He also thanked friends for the number of valuable and useful presents the bride and he had been favoured with. The following toasts were duly honoured :—" The Bridesmaids," proposed by Mr Glasson, responded to by Beat Man. "The Bride's Parents," proposed by Mr E. Fielding, responded to by Mr Appleby. "The Ladies," proposed by Mr Mullins, the Rev. Madill responding. The bride was prettily and neatly dressed in white crepe de chine dress, lace trimmings, with the orthodox orange blossoms and veil. The bridesmaids, Miss A. Appleby, champagne corded silk with trimmings to match ; Miss D. Appleby, crearnjradianta. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a very handsome brooch. Bridesmaid's presents: Miss A. Appleby, a pretty gold ring; Miss D. Appleby, gold brooch. The happy couple were the recipients of many useful and valuable presents.
