%*There will be no publication of the "Times" en Friday, December 26th. Advertisers please note. Messrs Tyklen and Spiers have purchased from Mr Robson the lease of the railway section on East street, between Bradury's Timber Yard and the railway line. We understand it in their intention to ereci a block of offices and shops on it. In the Pukekohe Magistrate's Court this morning, John Ward was charged with committing an aggravated assault upon Henry Wolfe, in Pukekohe last night. A blow over the head with a bottle prevented Wolfe from appearing in court today, so Ward was remanded until Monday, bail in the sum of £2O being allowed.
Mr Egginton, who has been nostmaster at Pukekohe for the past 41 years, is under orders to remove to Whangarei. His new station, which has a staff of 32, is one of the biggest country offices in New Zealand. When Mr Egginton came to Pukekohe there were 29 subscribers to the local 'phone ; now there arc 71. There were four postal officers ; now there are nine. It is not yet known when the transfer will take place.
