DRURY.
RAILWAY STAFF CHANGES. Mr Peek, who has been stationmaster here for some four years, has recently received notice of transfer to Morrinsville. This is promotion which we all think he is worthy of and congratulate him accordingly. During their rpsidence in Dtury Mr and Mrs Peek have made many friends and will be greatly missed. On Monday evening last Mr and Mrs Peek were entertained at a farewell social held in the Public Hall, and as a proof ol the popularity of the guests, the accommodation ot the hall was taxed to its utmost. During an interval Mr Glasson, 011 behalf of the residents, presented Mr and Mrs PeeK with a very handsome tea and colfee service. To close a most enjoyable evening all joined hands and sang Auld Lang Svne. Mr McKenzie, another of our popular railway officials, hp" l received notice of promotion, and consequently will be leaving us in the course ot a few days. It is proposed to entertain the genial Mack at a smoke concert on Wednesday i evening.
