TUAKAU SOUTH.
The Domain Tennis Club opened the season on Saturday last by a garden party. The weather was not too promising, but fortunately the rain held off till tha evening. Afternoon tea was dispensed by the ladies and an enjoyable afternoon was Bpent, Mr J. Coilins, senr., ard Mr Jones, both very old re ; ir3ents, opened the court for the season by putting first ball across the net. Mr W. GrahEm, cnairman of committee, msde a few suitable remarks anent the occasion. Several sets were played by Miss D. Frost, Mrs J. Pirritt, Mifs Taylor, and Messrs Logan, Graham, Pirritt, Ryan and others. The club had the court in goid order, several improvements having been effected tha previous week.
