The Pukekohe Session.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16th. Mr Eraser presided at the Court in Pukekohe yesterday. "William Pierce, who was charged with having threatened self-destruc-tion, was convicted and discharged, a prohibition order to be observed. Edwin F. Abbott, charged with committing a nuisance in a public place, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. Defendant agreed to the issue of a prohibition order. Terewai, a native, was charged that at Tuakau, on October 4th, he used obscene language in a public place.—A fine of £2 (with 7s court costs, 7s service, and 15s 6d interpreter's fees) was imposed. Judgment was given for plaintiffs in the following cases :—F. Perkins and Co. v. Gregory and Growden, claim £23 Gs 9d (against each defendant) , and £1 7s costs; same v. F. Goldsworthy, £lO 8s 4d and I (is costs; Rouhton Bros. v. J. Learning, claim £ll 19s 7d and £2 3s 6d costs.
