*+. Meeting of Committee There were present on Monday night : Messrs. Lawrie (chairman), Pilkington, Patterson, Smith, Perkins, Cargill, and liiudnian. insurance. It was decided to enquire from tlie Kducation Hoard if cleaners were insured by the Hoard. SCHOOL CONCERT The lieadniasler wrote slating that the staff were willing to undertake getting up the school concert, but were of the opinion that half the proceeds should ho devoted towards the purchase of a school piano. Members expressed their approval of the idea, and it was resolved that the management of the concert be left to the staff, and that the whole of the proceeds be devoted towards the purchase of a school piano. A FOOTPATH. A letter from the Borough Council was received slating that the levelling of the heaps of rubbish on the footpath had been attended to, but that the formation of the footpath would have to wait until the permanent levels of the road had been taken. THE SIDE SCHOOL. The Kducation Hoard wrote stating that the matter of the establishment of a side school between Pukekohe and Patumahoe would receive consideration. USK OF THE GROUND. Permission was granted to the Pukekohe Cricket Club to use the school ground. VISITING COMMITTKE. The Visiting Committee reported that everything was now in " apple - pie " order. Fencing along the new ploughed ground was recommended, and several slight repairs to ihe stiles and doors were suggested. It was reported that pedestrians crossing the grounds were damaging the fences. The report was adopted, and the incoming committee- were authorised to give effect to the recommendations. PAKADE GROUND FENCE. The very dilapidated condition of the fence around the parade ground was referred to, and it was resolved to apply to the Education Hoard for a grant to put the fence in order. ' THE NEW ROOM. " When is the school going to get the use of the new room. Have you any information 'f" askc;! Mr. Pilkington. The chairman: I have heard nothing. Mr. Pilkington: Can you tell us when it is to be used. The chairman intimated that he believed the room had not been taken over. • Mr. Pilkington: It's a curious thing. The loom has been practically ready for use for four months. Mr. Pilkington also wanted to know when the laboratory would be fitted up. Mr. Patterson said he had written two or three times, and had always received the reply that the fittings had not been forwarded by the Department. Jt was decided to ask the Hoard when the committee can use the new room, and when they may expect the laboratory to be fitted up. ACCOUNTS. Accounts amounting to £'s 14/8 were passed for payment.
