DRURY.

PROGRESSIVE EUCHRE

On Friday evening the Progressive Euchre Committee held a most successful social. The function passed off most pleasantly The music, floor, and catering were all that could be desired.

During the evening the final prizes were distributed. Miss Annie Hamilton having secured the highest number of games for the season was awarded a very pretty rose-bow). Mrs John John Blake, with second 'highest, received a beautifully-worked cushion, given by Mrs. Taylor. Mr. AY. Tooman, being first on the list of gentlemen scorers, received a handsome sovereign-case. Mr. ]']. Fielding, with second place, was awarded a useful clock.

The presentations were made by Mr. H. Hamilton, and after congratulations thet mjipients expressed appreciation on behalf of the way the euchre parties had been attended. He thanked all for their help and co-operation. Short speeches were also made by Messrs. Fielding and W. Tooman. It is understood that they have in hand a substantial little credit balance, part of wh'ch may be given to the hall extension fund.
