THE CROQUET CLUB.

Meeting of Members. A general meeting of the Pukekoho Croquet Club was held in thra secretary's room on October 2nd ; present: Mesdaraes Smith, Crum, Lawrio, Baker, Mill?, Stuart and D. Roulsiou. Mrs Stuart occupied the chair, an 1 tho treasurer produced the balance sheet which showed u credit balance of £7 13s 2d. Two new members, Miss Towusou and Mrs Baker, were elected. Tho secretary said that owing to tho smalluess of tho green a largo membership could not bo worked up and therefore tho club was greatly handicapped. The following officers for tho ensuing year wero elected : —President, Mrs Barter; vice-presidents, Mrs Mason (re-elected) and Mrs Eaiues ; secretary and treasurer, Mrs 1). Roulston (ro elected); gvoeq superintendent, Mrs Mills; committee, Mesdaiues Stuart, Kerr, Lawrie, Smith, and Miss Ramsay (all re-elected). As no rental of the green has yet been decided upon Mr J. Roulston ■ was appointed to wait ou the committee of tho Bowling Club re that matter. A pair of stars, to bo played for during tho coming season, has been douated by Mrs Lawrie. Tho meeting concluded with votes of thanks to the following:—Mrs Barter, tho members of the Bowling Club, and to Mrs Mills for trophies donated last season.
