Anuther vigorous plea for justice for the back-blocks was made in the House of Representatives by Mr C. K Wilson (Taumaranui). He urged that the loan of £1,750,000 should be increased to £2,000,000, and that the extra £250,000 should be earmarked for the roadiig of the back-blocks districts. He asserted that between Te Kuili and Pio Pio, a dutance of 15 miles, £40,000 had been expended and still C-.erc was no road there ytt. Oi (ha I'isko Bljck again land that had been purchased for £20,001) had been loaded with an additnnul £27,000 for rolling. Nevertheless, there was H 3 road there to-day. Other members received these statements with sig.is r.f incredulity, tut Mi Wilson roiteratel that the facts !
