A lengthy programme of songs, recitations, etc., was gone through. Amang others who contributed items were Messrs tetter, Ryan, Roper, J. Mcl. arin and Sheppard. Special features were the vocal items rendered by the Patumahoe trio, Messrs Bree, Torkor ar.d Haeata. Mr Cotter's comic Go.;gs were much enjoyed, he having to respond to two or three encores. Mr Sheppard, the popular am l indefatigable eeereLury, and whose efforts are much appreciated by the club, was responsible for the carrying out of the arrangements for the evening. ACCIDENT. A nasty accident occurred at Yates seed farm last 'lkursday, whereby Mr Hesketh, of I'atumahoe, sustained a broken erm, Leavirg his horses and trap for a moment the animals started oli', and in his endeavour to overiake them and bring them to a standstill, Mr Heaketh by si me misadventure had his arm caught in the wheel of the vehicle with the above-mentioned result.
