AKA AKA PLAINS.
BACHELORS' BALL. Ihe bschelora cf Aka Aka gave a ball on the 21st. The hall was very nicely decorated with evergreens and terns by tin bachelors, and a very delightful evening was spent in dancing. There werd about 50 couples presett, ar.d a splendiJ supper provided by the bachelors, which was catered by Mr H. Cumn, cf Waiuku, was well appreciated. The principal music was supplied by Messrs Deed Bros , of Otaua, violin and piano. One cr two extras were given by Mrs Selby, cf Otaua, on the piano. Mr George fchurt was chairman, Mr W. Louden, secretary of the Ball committee, and Mr George Short and Mr J. Forrest, M.'sL'., who carried out their duties with great credit The dancing was kept up till the Email hours cf the miming, all seeming to have enjoyed themselves.
