Mears Buckland and Suns re* port:We hi. let a special sale ot dairy cattle in our Pukekuhe yards on Saturday, August 24th, and yarded abcut the rdvertiscd number. Buyers ' were in atter.dancp, and a good sale resulted. First quality cows brought from £9 10s to £ll 15s, others £6 to £8 10°, sued and inferior £3 10s to £5 10s; springing heifers £4 10a to £9. according to size and quality. We held our usual monthly Bale in the Pukekoho yards on Monday, August 25th, and had a large entry of all tlasse?. There was a Isrge attendance and a strong demand, all descriptions of stock meeting with a ready eale. Ttorea to four year old steers s.ld at from £6 10s to £7 19j, Uo to three years £5 5s to £6 7s, yearling lo 18-months£3 to £4 9s; mixed yearlings, £3 to £3 15s; yearling to 18-months heifera, £3 10s to £5 8s; empty cows, £4 3s to £5 7s 6a; good calves, £2 7a to £2 14s, others £1 5s to £2 4s; young bull?, £5 to £8 ss. The 98 fat cattle sold freely, prices being easily equal to Weßtfield rates. Steers, £8 5s to £l3 12s 6d; cows, £5 10s to £9 ss.
