TECHNICAL CLASSES.
At Pukekohe Centre.
The Director of Technical Education in Auckland finds it quite impossible to make arrangements for an afternoon dressmaking- class, the teacher being fully engaged and the Auckland time-table set for this session. He hopes, however, to be able to make fresh arrangements for next session, enabling him to establish such a class. r ihe Thursday morning class only will be continued for the present. Many parents have objected to the compulsory classes in English and arithmetic for girls being held in the evening, contending that 9.00 was too late for young girls to have to go home. Recognising the importance of this objection the committee laid the position before Mr George George, and it has now been decided to hold a class starting at -1.30 o'clock in the afternoon, for girls. The boys''class will be in the evening at 7 p.m. All the pupils coming within compulsory clauses must attend the classes next week. The new timetable appears in our advertising columns to-day.
Ac Roulston's Clearance Sale of Furniture on Saturday second hand iron and timber will be offered.*
