|TO THE EDITOR..] Sir,—Mr W. L. West, a candidate for the directorate in the above Association, claims as the chief plank why he should be re-elected, that he is opposed to raising the directors' honorarium. Will Mr West kindly answer the following questions:-(1) Was he not a director when the directors increased their honorarium from £25 to £SO? (2). Two years ago when a move was made to reduce the honorarium, did he favour the reduction? (3) Ws»s he not aware sometime before the last annual meating at Hamilton that Mr L'wing intended to spring a surprise on the shareholders by moving that th 3 directors' honorarium be again raised to £SO, and if so why did he not inform the shareholders? (4) Has he not t»ld the shareholders during the last few weeks that he was going to retire from the. directorate, £2b being insufficient remuneration? -I am, etc..
