THE MILK INDUSTRY.

On Wednesday, June 25th, Mr Pacey, general manager of the New Zealand Dairy Association, accompanied by Mr Spragg and Mr K. McKenzie, director, paid his annuai visit to Bombay. There weie between thirty and forty present at the meeting, whicn was held in the Bombay Hall. Mr Pacey gave a resume of the association's work for the past year which, on the whole, was satisfactory. There had been an increase of soma 460 tons of butter for the season, tha price at the Bumbay creamery had been July and August Is per lb fcr butter fat; and September to May lid, with a supply bonus of seven-eighths of a penny, which, with the profit bonus, will make it over a shilling for the full season. Mr Pacey told the suppliers that the association was going in for the manufacture of casein, and those who supplied the skim milk would get an addition of IJi per lb for butter fat,
