PUKEKOHE SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
Special Meeting
There were present at a special meeting ot ths Pukckohe District High Schcol Committea on Wednesday evening— Iho Chairman (Mr 0. K. Lawrie), Messrs Pilkington, Patterson. Peikics, Smith, Cargill and Hindman. Permission was granted to the Rugby Union to use the schoolground and to erect a dressing shed thereon.
Thera has been trouble concerning the lighting of the lires at the school. 'lho headmaster considered this work came within the duties of the cleaner, whilst the cleaner said it cculd not bo expected that he was to come to the school especially to light lires for the small turn h 3 received weekly. The committee thought there were plenty cf children who would be pleased to light the fires A resolution to this elfect was earned.
The Chairman t Messrs Perkins, Pattern, Filklngton and Caigill were appointed to represent the School Committee on the Technical Advisoiy Committee.
