DRURY.
PROGRESSIVE LEAGUE.
At the last meeting of the Drury Progressive League it was resolved, on the suggestion of Mr Bregman, that steps bs taken to secure an estimate of the cost of establishing an efficient private telephone connection for the distict. The League has secured a definite statement from the General Manager of Railways to the effect that the Department have favourably considered the necessity of erecting a verandah at the local railway station. EUCHRE PARTY.
The fortnightly euchre early held in the public hall on the evening of the llth inst. was well patronised, and passed off very enjoyably. BAND OF HOPE.
The monthly meeting of the Band of Hope, held on Wednesday evening last, was the usual success. The Rev. Madill presided. A great amount ot credit is due to the Band of Hope workers fur the time and labour spent in providing these monthly entertainments.
