A meeting of the Head board wan held at the close cf the ratepayers' meeting; present— Meaars E. Allan (ia the chair), Hadly, Barnaby, Wilcox, O'Connor, Tcoman ard D. Fulton, and the CUrii (Mr Lauer). DISPUTED CLAIM.

The ckrk reminded the Bo.vd that Mr Ingram, the late member, hid required 150 yards of metal for the Bombay road. Not a penny had been spent there for over five years. Mr Wilcox: That is p. Couuty road, and we have nothing to do with i f .
Mr Tcoman said there were very bad pi sees on the rcitd where a horse could fall in.
It was explained that Missrs Wilcox £nd Fulton, as Coui.ty Councillors, could attend tn the rued.
OTHER WORK
Mr Tooman was granted three 15 inch pipes, fifteen !) inch pipes, and six 12 inch pipes, for Runciman. Mr Barraby risked for two trucks of metal for hi 3 road.
Mr Allan said that as this was a county load it would be in the same position as the Bombay road.
After some further discussion, in which it was pointed out that it mane no difference whether the Eoad Board or the Couiisy spent the money en the road, as it would in either case be a charge-against the riding, Mr Tcomaa moved, "That 25 yards of metsl be got for Bombay loadj to go between Cranston'B corner niu the hall."
