EUCHRE AND DANCE. The Progressive Euchre Club held its ope.iing night on Thursday evening last, but unfortunately the weather w::s very unfavourable. Notwithstanding ttiia about 30 couples pu f in an appearance. The ladies' prize v.as won by Miss Q. Stewart, and the men's by Mr 11. Hamilton. The dance which folio wed proved a big stKcefd, Ihv' lloor was in splendid order, while the music supplied by Mr Barker (piano), was firat-claas. Mr D, MacKenzie, junr., made an efficient M.C, and the catering was in the capable hands of Mr Rngg.
