Eleven Karaka Farms Sold. Theie w:s a keen demand for the sections of the Karaka Estate, Runciman, wh ch were offered at auciion on Friday as dairy faima in the Auckland Chamber of Commerce by the New Zealaud Loan and Mercant Ie Company. The estate of 2354 acres was sub-divi'ed into 19 farms, of from 29 to 219 acres. Of this numb.r, 11 fo'ind purchasers immediately after or on the fall of the hammer, and offers for some of the remaining sections have since been made. The eect : ons sold realised f:orn £l2 t) £l7 p : r acre, ar.d the total amount which changed hand 3 approximated £17,563. The biddings for the Maurgatautari bheks, Cambridge, w<:re good, but did not reach the reserves placed up.n ths property by the venders.
