Defendant 4 said he had been cutting cocksfoot 0 seed since judgment was given againat bim; he had about eight bags as his share, and be thought the seed might now be worth £1 7s a bag. "What have you been living oi?" asked the solicitor. "Food," was the answer. "Got any money saved up?"— ."None; wouldn't be here if I had." "Married?'' asked the Magis'rate.
