Ihis is Pukekohe's gala week, tor it is in this town that the 2Sth annual Show of the Franklin A. and P. Society will he held on Friday and Saturday next. Since we last made tie announcement that there were record entries for the Show, a freah calculation has shown that the previous good report has been exceeded, and there are actually over fourteen hundred entries in the catalogue—a very considerable advance on i;ust year's fixture. It is fortunate, too, that the big inert ases are in the classes for horses and cattle, for it is the big stock which makes the show spectacular. And the Society's record of records is ,-uihciently grand to justify their satisfaction.

The Sociey by its Shows is rerving the profoundly important purpose of emphasising (he capabilities of the district in the way of ttockraisi'g and stock-tendm;:.
