Ihis is Pukekohe's gala week, tor it is in this town that the 2Sth annual Show of the Franklin A. and P. Society will he held on Friday and Saturday next. Since we last made tie announcement that there were record entries for the Show, a freah calculation has shown that the previous good report has been exceeded, and there are actually over fourteen hundred entries in the catalogue—a very considerable advance on i;ust year's fixture. It is fortunate, too, that the big inert ases are in the classes for horses and cattle, for it is the big stock which makes the show spectacular. The festival should indeed be one to do the district proud The ptujil; ot the district have every reason to be tfrutihdi with themselves at the large measure of success which has followed I eir efforts in connection with t! is, on.' of the rno?t important of the institutions in our midst. And the Society's record of records is ,-uihciently grand to justify their satisfaction.
