Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons report: At Pukekohe, on Monday, January 27th, we held o'jt usual monthly sale in t'.e Pukekohe yards and yarded 1108 head of cattle, l'here was a lar?e attendance and a good demsiiJ existed for all classes. Dairy cows £5 03 to .£ll ss, empty cows £2 IDs to £3 15s, yearling to 18-month heiiers £3 on to £5 sj, two to three-year-old steers £4 153 to £5 15s. 18-month to two-year-olds £3 15s to £4 10s, good calves to yearlings £2 8i to £3 3s, strong calves £1 16s to £2 6s, others 15s to £1 13s, fat steers £7 10s to £9 15a, cows £4 5i to £7 7s 6d —109 beef sold. A number of farm implements and a quantity of sundries sold at fair values.

Romney rams ljgns to 4fgns, Lincoln rain 3 ligns to 3gns, Shropshire rams 2gns. A large numter of old rams brought from 5s to 17s. At Bombay on Saturday we held a clearing sale of Mr A. Dtane's live and dead stock, '.ihere was a large attendance, and a satisfactory sale was held. Dairy cosvs in milk sold at from £5 to £ll 59, lieifers £4 10s to £lO, springing heifers £4 to £5 2i 6d, calves £1 5s to £2, horses £ls to £2l, pigs 20s to £4. Farm implements and sundries sold at satisfactory prices.
