8 Raglan County Council has accepted E. Bregmen's tender for £3O lubsidy for the Rangiriri ferry. Another so-called blow-out, due to the dropping of the plug ball, occurred in Queen-street, Pukekohe, on Saturday afternoon, and a vast quantity of water was wasted. The spout was a veritable Waimangu, and it "played" for half-an-hour. It was a splendid sight, but the coßt of the exhibition was very high.
