■♦ Successfui Pukekohe Function. The ricnic held in the Pukekohe sci.ool giour ih on Thursday was very enjoyabl., except for eome rain wheh spoilt the late afternoon was an abundance of lefreshments aid prize?. A number of parents and frierds were present, and the various events were watched with keen interest. Events were won as follows:Girls under U, 50 yards—Mavis Brown 1, Gina Cowera 2. B.rriman 2. Boys under 9. 75 yards—G. Brownlee 1, C. Poller 2. Girls under 7, 30 yards.—l. Stewart 1. M. Miller 2, E. Jenkins 3. Boys under 7, 50 yards—G. Pilkington 1, F. Mitchell 2, E. Coyle 3. Tuga of war and basket hall tournament went t»> complete a very successful programme.
