Tito body corporate called Tho Mayor, Councillors and Burgesses of the Boiough of Pukekohe herehy gives public notice that it proposes to raise a Special Loan of £2,000 at the current rate of interest not exceeding 6 per cent, per annum for 36.1 years for the purposes following : 1. For purchasing and acquiring the fee simple of tho following sections of land for the purpose of a Domain and Recreation Ground. (a) A section of land R. No. 24, Sec. 2 Parish of Pukekohe 8 acres more or less, at present owned by James Costello for the sum of £I,OOO for which the sum of £2oo is required to qualify for the Government subsidy of £7.50 . . . . 250 (b) A section of land, 10 acres more or less, at present belonging to theMcGough Estate, heing Lot 27 of Sec. 2, Parish of Pukekohe .. .. HOO 2. For laying out, levelling, and general improvements to above lands 3. The Legal, clerical, advertising, banking, brokerage, and other charges and costs of ami incidental to the raising of the Loan and purchase of the said lands and the interest for the first year
4. Tlif mount above appearing after each purpose is the amount proposed to be borrowed for such purpose. The total amount of such special loan is £2,000. The proposed security for the said loan and for payment of sinking fund (amounting to one per cent per annum') and interest is a Special ratetf one twelfth of a penny in the pound, proposed to be made and levied nn the rateable value of all rateable property within the said Borough It is proposed to pay out of the loan Monies the cost of raising the Loan, and the interest for the first year. A Poll will be taken on the proposal to raise the above Loan at the Public Library, Pukekohe, on tho 28th day of January 1913, between tho hours of !) a.m. and 7 C. K. LAWRIE, Mayor.
