At Fr.ray night's meeting of the Puktkohj Boroufch louncil, Cr Johns, on behalf of the Recreation G'ound Committee, said:—'"We beg to itate that we have five offers of land: - "1. Messrs Yates acd Co. offer 20 to 25 acres at £75 per acre. It is situated between Pukelohe a d B ckland and has a nice piece of hush wi>h flat gr< uni on sidr, wi;h l igher ground forming a sort of grandstand. The price seemi reasonable Then, are several diawbacks; firstly, the hill in ard out t n fukekohe; secondly, too large a block; thirdly, there is a gully runring through the southwestern side of the f*im, and to get level land fir lecreation purposes, it fcould be necessary to go into the middle of the farm.
