SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL
A social was held in the hall on Ftiday evening last, as a wi'd-up to the Euchr.3 Crib's series of so:ial=, and proved a success in every way. [here were about thirty ciuples preser.t 'ihe music was in the capabh hands of Messrs Morgan and Cossey. while the duties of M.C. were carried out efficiently by Mr D. Mackenzie The catering was i i the hands of Mr Rugg, and was well up to that gantleman's usual standard. During the evening Mr Joe Tooman, president of tha club, presented the two prizes given to the lady and gentleman who ha-d wo.i the greatest number of games during the season. Miss V. Macki.'zie proved thy winner of the lidy's prize, a silver-backed brush and comu in caa?, and Mr VV. io> man was successful in winning '.he gentleman';; ptizp, a hanciu g. The committee of the club are to be o;i the way in which lii'V ha -, e carried out these fortnightly lein.naments, which have been a success in every vvav.
