Reply to Mr Wily.
To mi Editob. &»,—ln your last issue a letter appears signed by Mr H. Wily, stating that I arranged with him that the Hon. W. Massey should be relieved of all responsibility in passing the Waikatoi Ever Bill through the Local Bills Committee. This is absolutely false and without foundation. I have had quite enough of Mr Wibft «•|t•twnenW , ; the solicitors state are not «4fae tt only JOm statements." The summary of the Engineers' reports is a unique production and I must, in the interests of the Biver Board, reply to them. I WT Hwh doubt, Mr Editor, if you have even seen Mr Thompson's report. Did Mr Wily have anything to do with it f ItniHkery after his action at the " private closed-door meeting at Pukekohe? Asking toe Prime Minister to grant no more money to the Biver Board until a Commission was held is quite enough for me.— ****** umm* glass. • To Kawhata, October lit
