ON THE GOLF LINKS.

Pukekohe District Club. Members of the l'ukekohe District Gulf Club have lately been hampered in their games by the equinoctials. Some very interesting play, however, has been enjoyed. In the handicap singles, stroke match, Mr Bockott (7), is to play Mr J. Adams (15) in the final, while the ladies ovont rests bot\\ eou Mrs Bayly and Mrs Wake (15). Illness has prevented both deciding games from being played. The approaching and putting competitions were won by Mrs Wake and Mr Grigor. Considering that the club is a young one some good golf has developed and practically all the lirstyoar players have reason to be proud of their progress. Judging from tho enthusiasm displayed wo should say f hat in coining yours I'ukekohe district will become an important golf centre and that the membership of the local club will increase materially.
